“Received valuable information from the online course, some of what I already knew. I dosed off to sleep, woke up and still passed the quiz. All I can say is pay attention to detail because it’s pretty much common sense based. Easy, peasy, lemon greasy!” Shenida – March 21, 2020

Just like a drivers license, the Virginia Non-Resident Permit allows you to use your licence in multiple states, even those that don’t state they accept Concealed Carry Certificates Online.
The Commonwealth of Virginia allows for all residents of the United States of America to apply for and to obtain a permit to carry a concealed handgun. To use that permit to carry a handgun, you must be in one of the 25 states that have reciprocity with Virginia. Virginia residents and Non-residents may obtain a five (5) year permit to carry a concealed handgun. Because of reciprocity, over half of the states in the U.S. allow their residents to carry a concealed handgun in their state after obtaining a Concealed Handgun Permit from the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Yes, our certificate is widely accepted.
Not in every state no. See the drop down box above to look up your states specific laws! In most states the only requirement is to take a firearms safety training. Firearm safety training does not require shooting or even touching a gun. Our online conceal and carry training course fulfills most state’s law by educating our students in firearm safety training.
On the next page you will be able to begin taking the class for free in under 60 minutes. You will not pay until you pass. Once you pass the test (70% or better required), you will be able to print out your certificate on your personal printer. If necessary, you are allowed to log out and finish taking the course at a later time. You are not required to finish the course in one sitting.
The application process depends on each state, please reference how to apply in the state drop down box above. In almost all cases it is a simply as contacting your local police department, and presenting them with the certificate we gave you. They will then give you an application to apply, after they receive an accept it, they will send you your permit to carry!
Naturally, private property owners may apply whatever restrictions they want. Whether or not these restrictions violate one’s constitutional rights is for the civil courts to decide. But the only statutory restrictions on a permit holder are secured areas such as airports and federal buildings.
Be sure to check your specific state laws, but most states that allow CCW do not permit holders from being in a bar with a concealed firearm. However, it is illegal to be intoxicated and in possession of a firearm. The level of intoxication that is considered illegal is the same standard as when driving a car. (.05 B.A.C.)
Any action you take with a gun must be in direct self-defense; otherwise, it may be considered threatening with a dangerous weapon and you could be labeled as the aggressor. You may be criminally charged and you will possibly have your permit to carry a concealed firearm revoked. Carrying a firearm is very serious business. There is no room for mistakes. If you pull a firearm on someone or even display the weapon, then it must be in self defense or it is not justified.
